Sweet Mead blended with pure local juiced ginger, aged for 10 months.
This is a sweet mead with good honey notes and medium strength ginger. It’s flat (not carbonated) and the ginger lingers on the palate for some time without being too overpowering.
Made from entirely local ingredients from the Crows Nest/Cabarlah region in QLD. Raw honey from the Darling Downs and the ginger comes fresh from our good friends Cumquats Australia from Toogoolawah. They bring it to the meadery the day it’s harvested it and goes into the mead within 24 hours. Nothing’s pasteurised. All raw goodness, mixed together with filtered rain water we catch ourselves.
This is a great summertime drink. Pour into a short glass over ice or add a dash of soda water to make it a strong honey ginger beer. Winter time, well it can be warmed up which will intensify the natural ginger spice.
Great ginger flavour & smell that’s not too strong but not too weak.
